Tang Li completed her Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science at Monash University 2012. She then went on and worked for BASF Australia for a year in the surfactant/polymer division as a technical sales support officer. There she found her interest in research and decided to come back to pursue her passion with the nonlamellar group.
She then completed her honours year in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Ben Boyd. Her honours project thesis was titled “Towards glucose sensitive liquid crystalline nanomaterials for ‘On demand’ drug release”
Her current project is looking at “pregnant liposomes” and their potential for oral and topical drug delivery.
Apart from her studies, she also works in the industry as a product development chemist for home care and personal care products. Her hobbies include piano, yoga, basketball and shopping.
